Corporate Crime
Since a corporation is considered as a person in law I think it is definitely possible that they can commit murder.
I think corporations should definitely be responsible if people are dying because of their product. Nowadays we have thousands of rules and laws so why should we tolerate a corporation putting hundreds of thousands at risk.
It is not very easy to say, who should get charged if somebody dies because of a corporation.
I think it is very clear that the person who actually caused the dead of this person should be responsible for it. But that is not always very easy, because in a corporation, you do not always know who helped with the crime. It could be that the boss who runs the company does not even know that there is one of his employees who wants to harm customers. For example:
Mister X runs a company of several thousand workers, and he makes sweets. He has a few staff members that are responsible for the hiring of employees, and he has other employees that are responsible for training. He probably will never even meet many of those employees. Now suppose a small group decides to inject poison into the sweets, and as a result, children die, and hundreds more get sick. So who should get charged?? Mister X had no intent to commit a crime, he did not know of the crime, and he didn't even know the individuals who committed the crime.
I just think that it always depends on the different situations who should get charged and that you can not say that always this one person (e.g. the shop manager) should be responsible.

This article is about seven poeple who died after taking pain-relief capsules that had been poisoned in 1982 in the USA.The case remains unsolved and no suspects have been charged. A $100,000 reward, offered by Johnson&Johnson for the capture and conviction of the "Tylenol Killer," has never been claimed.
I think that just shows that we have to do something and change the law, because otherwise companies will just carry on with harming people,environment etc.

Drugs/Prostitution/Pornography (to be continued)
1.In my opinion drugs should not be legalized, because I think that it is just too dangerous. I think that, if the government would legalize them, people would start taking more and more of those and I think that there are already enough people killing themselves with drugs. I know that there are many people saying that there is a big difference between drug use and drug abuse. Although they are right, I think that if it would be legal to consume drugs more and more people would stop taking them once in a while and start taking them every day. This could be very dangerous, because there are many drugs , you could get addicted to after only one single fix. About the big discussion about the legalization of marijuana, I can only say that I think that it would not make a big difference if it would be legalized, because there are already enough people who do not care and consume it anyway. And in my opinion I think that it does not matter if we are talking about a chemical drug or a “nature product” because drugs are drugs and are simply bad for you.
2.Does pornography lead to violence? This may sound stupid, but I think that it depends on which porn you watch. I think that it is definitely not harmful if you know that pornography is just a simple fantasy. But I also think that it is possible that pornography leads to violence if they contain violence, aggression , brutality etc. If somebody does not see the line between fantasy and reality and wants to act the things he has seen on the porn , out it could harm or kill the person he is “using”.
In addition , I want to say that there is a big difference between different kinds of pornography.
I think that, if a adult couple love each other and want to make a video , and want to show that to the whole world, they should do whatever they want . But if a 30 year old guy has sex with a under 18 year old girl it is definitely WRONG ,and even worse if he makes a film about it and that is definitely harmful to the child (or teenager).
3.In my opinion a few forms of prostitution should be legalized, because I think that the rate of illegal prostitution would definitely go down.
I think that street walkers should not be legalized, because most of them are poor, drug addicts and just simply need help, instead of supporting them having more and more problems. It does not mean that streetwalkers would be free just because it would be legal to purchase it. It only means that their pimps get more money and that people do not have to look away when they see them on the street.
But I also think that prostitutes , who really want to have sex, and who want to get a lot of money, should get the chance to do that, legally.
I think when prostitution would be legal,that there would be less illnesses because those girls could just go to a doctor without any problems.
I think we have to accept that prostitution is a part of our society and that it will happen, legal or illegal.
So we should just make it legal and to a "real" profession, so we could have control over it and can help those who need it.
